Bio
Dan Grennes has been a professional musician since 1994, after graduating from Berklee College of Music. He has since been a session player in the New York City area after a brief stint in Nashville. Dan has played on movie soundtracks, commercials, Broadway, numerous CD’s, performed with countless bands, toured internationally, and was awarded an American Music Award after performing on the show. Though his primary instrument is the bass, he is also a vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist, drum programmer, songwriter, producer and mobile phone ringtone creator. Being musically diverse, Dan is proficient in styles ranging from jazz to heavy metal, and everything in between. When not performing in the city, he's often writing, recording, producing, or working with other artists in his home studio in New Jersey.
In addition to many bands for which he currently plays, he fronts his own rock foursome called Uncle Pumpkin (www.unclepumpkin.com, or www.myspace.com/unclepumpkin). The band is fueled by catchy, melodic songs Dan has written over the past few years and reflects many of his influences, yet has it’s own musical twist.
